if you will allow me to comment, if the moving parts are not all synced it will feel more natural. For example, making the plants and shadows move independently from the girl and from each other (in another frequency or phase at least). If everything moves in the same rhythm, it gives it away, you know?

I loved the joke, and everything is really pro! The only thing that is a bit disappointing is that there is no animation for the lava exploding into his face.. that’s precisely the scene everyone wants to see!

Yeah totally - I went back and forth over whether to include it. It was in an early storyboard. I just liked this cut better for some reason. Leaves it to your imagination. But I could be wrong!
